2021 Paul Zia Distinguished Lecture: Design & Construction of the Samuel De Champlain Bridge

The 20th Annual Paul Zia Distinguished Lecture, “Design & Construction of the Samuel De Champlain Bridge,” will be presented this year, on September 27, 2021 at 3 PM. The lecture is made possible by our 2021 signature, gold, silver, and bronze sponsors.

This annual lecture honors Professor Emeritus Dr. Paul Zia, former professor and department head of NC State’s Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering, and a structural engineer who is eminent in research, professional society leadership, and practice.

This year’s presenters will be Dr. Marwan Nader, PE, from T.Y. Lin International and Guy Mailhot, P.Eng., M.Eng., FCSCE, FEIC from Infrastructure Canada.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Due to current University restrictions surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, the general public is invited to attend virtually. Participation on-campus is limited to University faculty and students.
